I'm so tired of studying......and i'm taking my few minutes to write blog haha.
Got a new toy during Black Friday, i know I'm > 1 year late...actually wanted to ask Albert if he likes his camera, but don't seem to see him online during thanksgiving (he must have gone back to CA).
Anyways, I finally took the plunge and bought a digital SLR. Why so slow? Cos my dad kept saying SLR should be the traditional film kind, and I do have a regular 35mm SLR (Minolta X700) with fancy lens, filters, flash..etc I even have that shutter cable, colored flash filter..etc (courtesy of my dad of course, he's very into camera) I knew once I get digital SLR, these will be put aside. Anyways, I couldn't resist and bought it from Amazon.
Nikon D40 (yeah no $$$$, can't afford 40x) and a new VR zoom lens.
Hello!

bye bye

My first thought? I find the "plastic" constructions very weird. I guess I'm used to the heavy big lens/camera body. These new camera feels really light (which is good), but it also feels like it's going to break into pieces if I drop it on the ground. Oh, and this is my first time using autofocus SLR. hahaha, muc h faster than manual focus of course. Now, the thing that is lacking is a good flash....and i have no macro lens!? But this is already a good upgrade over my point and shoot compact camera (which is totally lacking in control options, i was so frustrated when I want to use it for sports and low light situation......)
Now, i just need to find time to go out and take some pics.
